The ruskies also committed some tier 1 paratroopers for fast strike operations in this wave. Russia had literately thousands of these old tanks and APC's laying about in fully working condition , left over from the cold war era.
Does not go wrong and instead, ends up taking 1/3 of Ukraine within a week while taking fairly low-mid casualties on the oldest equipment and least trained/reliable troops, burns up 1/5th of the entire EU warehouses of ammo, burns up 5,000 nato javelins and 2,000-ish stingers... Holds back regular military to see what Nato and EU armies do... Does not endanger any long term supplies. (logistics man, its the real secret of any long term successful military campaign.)
Second wave of freash russian troops now in. 2nd tier trained regulars, full air support, full navy support. multiple amphibious attack forces in the 30k+ range, integrated artillery support, Modernized t-80's and BTR's. Still holding back full supplies, but the Russian war pigs have outrun their gas lines.( which sometimes happens in armored warfare) They sure do seem to have plenty of ammo though and seem to be shooting the shit out of just about everything.....
Ukraine has burned up half, maybe 2/3'rds of its ammo supplies and is begging for more ammo from anyone. nato countries start sending in more of their limited stockpiles.
russia will take 2/3rds of Ukraine in 10 days or less while burning up half-ish of natos ammo available stockpile...
Ruskies still holding back the premium of its military... another 200k-ish tier 1 troops with 3rd adn 4th gen t-90's, t-72b's, sa-500's and 1000's of uran-9's and nerekhta robo tanks(and i would bet good money we'll see some Armata's deployed before all is said and done) waiting for whatever NATO responce ends up being... as well as another 500k-ish malita on hot standby...with full warehouses and fuel supplies for the long term...

Ya my animals are all on the wild side. The cat would only hang out a month or two in the mid winter till spring (now in fact) and throw a couple kits off somewhere close every other year. Only actually saw her about four times, but would see all the signs. Kills in the driveway, tracks, cam photos.. I'd often walk out in the snow and then double back on my trail for whatever reason a few minutes later and her tracks would be there... that sort of thing.
The bears though. Jesus.... I live near a resort area and the bears just get wild in the summer anymore. A bunch have figured out how to work door knobs and now they just open up cabin doors and walk right in...
and now we have the fooken wolfs as well. Just had a few at the house lastnight, late night howling around. They are a real problem. Two human attacks this year alone in my area (up near the canadian rockies on the american side) and more and more encounters each year.
