A scorpion wants to cross a river but cannot swim, so it asks a frog to carry it across. The frog hesitates, afraid that the scorpion might sting it, but the scorpion promises not to, pointing out that it would drown if it killed the frog in the middle of the river.
The frog considers this argument sensible and agrees to transport the scorpion. Midway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog anyway, dooming them both.
The dying frog asks the scorpion why it stung despite knowing the consequence, to which the scorpion replies: "I am sorry, but I couldn't resist the urge. It's in my nature."
That makes sense. I have a lake about an hour or so from me with a similar story.
I've seen multiple trophy musky (40 plus inches) pulled from that lake. I swear they're larger than my leg. I've had extremely great fishing days on that lake, but I've yet to land anything over 40.
Congratulations! Fishing is my absolute favorite hobby; it's the reason I get out of bed in the mornings.
I'll have to say that is some iron clad devotion. After 16 years of going to the same lake and getting skunked, much weaker fisherman would have either given up the hobby or tried somewhere else!
This is my first year I'm giving it a go. I'm not sure whether I like it or not. I've got my son involved, I thought it would be a neat activity for us to do together. I'd like him to learn hard work pays off.
I feel like there should be a clever little quip to help people keep their guard up when in public. Maybe something about being around blacks and not relaxing seems like a jumping point
Isn't that what art is supposed to do? Regardless of the medium (sound or visual) it suppose to invoke something. The poster here is moved and engaged
While I am not as enthusiastic about this piece as the poster is, this piece falls well into the category of art.
Modern art is a "the king has no clothes" situation. Everyone is the room is too retarded to say what they really think, so they nod and agree. See link provided:
As some one who works in the trades, really wish I would have done something I enjoyed.
Money is good, work is abundant, but holy-cat-shit-batman does my body hurt all of the time. End of day, body hurts. Wake up in the morning, body hurts.
Drug use is also rampant within the trades, especially roofers.

Merit is of less value than diversity. If that was on a t-shirt I would buy it.

I worked with quite a few Bosnians many moons ago, I got along with them great; we both shared a common enemy

Anybody that falls to the upper- left of B2 has never worked a day in their life. That's your typical "redditor-shutin" kind of pale.

That sounds like a lot of fun! It's still to cold to plant outside just yet where I live. I
started the germination process last week; posts like this are getting me antsy for warmer weather!
