I'm just trying to make some money. And I can't sell things I like to people like me. Because people like me will just build it themselves.
So I'll build things that appeal to a customer that can't build it themselves. Then I can charge whatever I want, and they have to pay it. Because they can't build it themselves.
I just have to figure out how to make a Space Trek or Space War chair (you know, the movies with Dark Vapours and Duke Skywatcher). If I design one of those I'll be rich.
They're actually pretty solid. But the forest one could take out an eye if landed on just right.
Otherwise, they're no more dangerous than any other furniture. Stronger, sturdier, and safer than anything you can buy at Ikea. I guess that's where the danger is. It won't shatter into pieces if you try to smash it over someones head.
I was going to reply that it's better to use the scroll saw for most of it. Like with the barn one, the hayloft and windows - Using a flush router bit I'd have to plow through a lot of material.
But if I were to remove the bulk of it with a hole saw, then a router bit would take out the rest easily. Even cutting large chunks off the sides, it be faster to quickly cut off the bulk and then go back over with the router, than it was to slowly cut along the line. I'd still have to clean up some of the corners after. But a flush router would be far quicker. A hell of a lot more sawdust, but a lot quicker.
I guess I was only thinking about making one or two and not 20 or 30. But now that you've got me thinking about it, it seems so obvious. Thanks.
Well, I guess I'm going to price out some flush trim bits.

A few people have told me that. And the truth is that I almost didn't make the forest and mountain chairs. I'm glad I did though.
Thanks.

No CNC. But that would have made it a lot easier.
All of it was cut with a table saw and scroll saw.

We can scale them up and you'll have a nice set of dining room chairs.

Yeah, I thought the jersey chairs would be the big hit. But everyone who's seen them like the barn one the most.
