Actually bed bugs are easy to manage. Some diatomaceous earth placed around room openings, interceptors on bed posts, bed covers, and packing your property up in ziploc bags will resolve the problem in a couple of months.
There is zero reason to throw out anything, but it can be annoying to clean up.
If you're staining it black then color shift shouldn't be a problem just be consistent in application and know what your end goal looks like so that you apply enough coats of stain to get it.
Sand it smooth then stain.
For the finish, if it is going to be subject to impact or used as a work surface, consider resin rather than urethane since urathane is a thin coat.
I think it might be a magpie. Most states don't consider them as domestic animals, so to legally own one requires special permitting, else the govt will come and murder it like Peanut the Squirrel.
Keep in mind that Project Veritas was captured and converted and no longer represents a factual reporting outlet. Have to stick with O'Keefe and his new shindig.
We don't. There isn't a market for thatching since we primarily use plywood sheathing with and overlay of asphalt shingles or tile for residential homes and membrane, tar, gravel built-up roofing or metal roof systems for commercial buildings.
Romans used a primative form of transit or theodolite, called a groma as well as a more advanced version called the dioptra. Combined with basic mathematics, a known reference length (we use 100ft chains in the modern era), the angle measuring of the groma and dioptra allowed them to do the surveying required as easily as we do it today. Surveying hasn't really changed apart from the scale of the magnitude and rate it gets done at thanks to modern electronic systems and GPS.
There's absolutely nothing mysterious about how they did it, because if you've ever done surveying, you would know how they did it, since you yourself would have done it.

It is called attractive nuisance and is a shameless attempt to deflect against the fact that someone trespassed onto someone's property.
