Good for those kids. If only it were more transparent who really cares for the child. It goes all the way back to the Bible when that kid was going to get cut in half.
Although I bring that up as a second example of the state deciding custody I do not support it in either case. It was wrong then and it is wrong now. The state should only ever step into a custody dispute as a last resort and with limited authority. We have existing laws that protect people from violence so the state is perfectly fine to butt the fuck out of our business when it comes to deciding where our children live.
If the state has its way maybe one day parents will have no rights over their children. It would be like a dystopia where after birth children are seperated from their families and then raised by the state.
if you mean the mom, yes I have imagined that. lol
if you mean the kid yeah that would be even worse. Okay, so there are real atrocities going on right in front of our noses if the media would look at them instead of focusing on shit that had very little to do with any of us that happened a hundred years ago.

He took in my brother and I didn't want to put that burden on him again. I never even asked. I'm sure he would have said yes if I'd asked.

It's not complicated. End the system. No one gets any money and the state has no seat at the table when deciding where the kid lives.
