#A Legacy Destroyed

VDH is naturally inclined to lionize the so-called “Greatest Generation”, but he’s too good a historian to be unaware of their greatest failing, which was being unwilling, or unable, to successfully prepare the Boomers for the mantle of preserving and passing on Western civilization:

Governor Ronald Reagan, in his 1967 inaugural address, famously remarked, “Freedom is a fragile thing and it’s never more than one generation away from extinction.”

Reagan today might have expanded on his theme by declaring that civilization itself is both fragile and can lost by a generation that recklessly spends its inheritance while neither appreciating nor replenishing it—if not ridiculing those who sacrificed so much to provide it. Such is the noxious epitaph of the Baby Boomer generation that is now passing after a half-century of preeminence and whose Jacobin agendas have nearly wrecked the nation they inherited…

Americans did the impossible in less than a year—from the Normandy beaches to well across the Rhine River. That same generation went on to save South Korea, build an anti-totalitarian world order, defeat Soviet communism, and pass on to the Baby Boomer generation the strongest economy, military, and political system in history, or, to paraphrase the poet Horace, “monuments more lasting than bronze.” Or so we, the inheritors, thought.

And what are the now septuagenarian and octogenarian children of the veterans of Omaha Beach and Iwo Jima, leaving as their own legacy?

The self-infatuated and do-your-own-thing generation that gave us the Sixties and the counterculture has left the country $36 trillion in debt, now borrowing $1 trillion nearly every three months. Worse, there is not just no plan to balance budgets, much less to reduce the debt, but also no intention to stop or even worry about the borrowing of some $10 billion a day.

The U.S. military is almost unrecognizable to that of just a few decades ago. It was humiliated in Kabul. In surrealistic fashion, it abandoned some $50 billion in lethal weaponry to the Taliban—along with our NATO allies, American contractors, and loyal Afghans. And our supreme command labeled that rout a brilliant retreat. Meanwhile, the military suffers from depleted inventory of key munitions while being short 45,000 annual recruits.

The Pentagon is torn by internal dissension over DEI, woke, anti-meritocratic promotions, and a politicized officer class—well, apart from now also being outmanned and outgunned by the Chinese. Many of the world’s key maritime corridors—the Red Sea, the Straits of Hormuz, the Black Sea, and the South China sea—are apparently beyond our navy’s ability to ensure the world safe transit.

For perceived cheap political advantage, the Baby Boomers destroyed the southern border, most recently allowing in nearly 10 million unaudited illegal aliens. With the disappearance of our national sovereignty, so too was lost the once-cherished idea of a melting pot of legal immigrants arriving in America longing to assimilate, to integrate in self-reliant fashion, and to show gratitude for the chance of something far better than what they left.

The nation isn’t “nearly wrecked”. It is defeated and subjugated. The Melting Pot idea, however cherished it might have been, was always a self-serving foreign lie and it never happened anyhow. But the fact that people now recognize that it’s not happening now is a step forward, as is the acknowledgment that the Boomers were so awful that their predecessors are being blamed for not preventing them from destroying their legacy.

If elderly historians are already condemning the Boomers, imagine what the historians of the future will say of them!

#Worse Than Infidels

No matter how much you despise the Boomers, you don’t despise them enough. We keep seeing this sort of thing again and again and again.

My husband should have inherited the farm he grew up on. After our first child was born, my husband called his dad and asked if he could come home and help farm. The answer was No. The farm will be auctioned off to Blackrock. Four generations of land will die with the selfishness of the boomers.

And remember, no generation inherited as much wealth, or will leave a smaller percentage of that wealth behind, than the Boomers.

A False and Retarded God

One of the tragedies of the Boomers is that they gave up the faith of their fathers for an absolutely impossible lie, as evidenced by ESR’s attempt to defend the societal devastation that has been left in the wake of the wicked generation of the Boomers.

Religion failed us... I don’t think it could have gone differently; it’s a failure that had been on the cards ever since the mechanistic worldview reached effective completion by Darwin.
– Eric S. Raymond

But as I have conclusively and comprehensively proven, the mechanistic worldview is obviously false due to the mathematical falsification of not only Darwin, but the very mechanism of evolution by natural selection. If you still believe that species turn into other species due to natural selection, you are not only ignorant, you are observably innumerate and scientifically outdated.

The complete scientific falsification of the neo-Darwinian synthesis has already been accomplished, it simply hasn’t been widely recognized because biologists are too mathematically challenged and insufficiently skilled at pattern recognition to put the various pieces together yet. Consider the following pieces:

- The fastest observed genetic fixation in a species required 1,600 generations.
- This 1,600-generations-per-fixation rate included parallel fixations.
- The fastest observed spread of a genetic line in humans occurred at a rate that would require at least 8,170 generations per fixation.
- Chinese scientists have asserted that genes in complex species such as humans change at a rate that is approximately one-fiftieth the rate of genetic change in simple species like bacteria. This implies at least 80,000 generations per genetic fixation.
- The genetic difference between a modern Homo sapiens sapiens and a modern Pan troglodytes required around 30 million genetic fixations between the two species.
- The estimated 9 million years since the Chimpanzee-Human Last Common Ancestor permits for somewhere between 282 and 55 genetic fixations per species. This is less than 0.000000006 percent of the observed genetic difference between modern chimpanzees and modern humans. It is also less than one percent of the observed genetic differences between two genetically divergent modern humans.

t should be absolutely obvious to any rational analyst that a mechanism which cannot even account for a small fraction of one percent of the observed differences between two things cannot possibly be the causal factor explaining those differences. Not in a million years, not in nine million years, not in nine billion years. No amount of argumentum ab magnis numeris is going to salvage even the smallest vestige of the neo-Darwinian synthesis, the theory of evolution by natural selection, or, for those who are still clinging by faith to the evolutionary epicycles being produced by the final generation of evolutionary biologists, the Theorum of Evolution by (probably) Natural Selection, Sexual Selection, Biased Mutation, Genetic Drift, and Gene Flow.

Not only is there not one single piece of evidence ever produced that supports the idea that evolution by natural selection is sufficient to explain the observed genetic differences between one species and another, there is not one single hypothetical argument or explanation in defense of evolution by natural selection that is capable of standing up to the combination of math, logic, and the available scientific evidence.

If you rejected religion on the basis of mechanistic materialism, you abandoned the faith of your fathers for an obvious untruth. Darwin was not only a false intellectual god, he was a false and retarded one.

The Capital That Was Lost     (voxday.net)

https://voxday.net/2023/07/27/the-capital-that-was-lost/

A commenter on Gab observes how the societal changes throughout the United States have significantly reduced its human capital:

I like to relate to my experience growing up in a small town, once a modest but prosperous mining community. By the 80s and through the 90s, the mine was long closed and economic opportunities were scant. By the 2000s, generational welfare recipients were common, except now the last vestiges of culture disappear as crime and drugs increase.

The town now serves mostly as a retirement/ bedroom community with a base of unfortunates.

I always thought that if a big employer showed up nearby, there would be a huge line for the much needed jobs. What I didn’t understand until recent years is what had really been lost: Human capital.

Now employers are hungry for people and you can’t get anyone to show up. New generations seem incapable of managing getting to work on time or at all. That’s what was lost, the culture that reinforced family, work ethic, social values. That’s human capital. Once it’s gone, it’s very hard to get back.

This is where Generation X can, despite its tendency toward nihilism and apathy, make a real difference and give its successors an advantage. Because we don’t care about the mainstream narrative, we can reinforce the traditional family, work ethic, and social values that enhance human capital. We have the ability to teach them how to be in the society, but not of it.

Just yesterday, I explained the way business communications hierarchy worked to several members of the younger generation, and assigned them to watch this scene from The Godfather in order to help them understand how it works. Notice in particular the way the two senior subordinates, the hit man and the lawyer, as well as the rival family capo, understand immediately the major faux pas that has been committed by the undisciplined son.

“I have a sentimental weakness for my children, and I spoil them, as you can see. They talk when they should listen.” This is the key phrase from this scene, and not the more famous “Never tell anybody outside the Family what you’re thinking again.” But they are both significant concepts that are part of what was the human capital of the time.

Our children and grandchildren will not pick up these things via osmosis from the mainstream culture the way we did, which is why it falls for us to preserve it by teaching them wisely and well.

The Kurgan responds to Karl Denninger’s Boomer blackpilling:

In the big scheme of things, those who do not reproduce sufficiently die out. Nature is pretty brutal about it and tends to operate on the principles of large numbers. And exceptions to that rule because of different large numbers.

It may just be humanity’s lot that we go the way of mouse utopia aka Universe 25. In which case, we’re all doomed and so are all our children. And if so, why worry about it. Worrying about it would be a total waste of time. Besides which you do NOT know this for certain, so assuming it off the bat is an error. So, as a function of reason and logic, this specific idea must be ignored.

Treating it as valid or true can only lead you to depression and misery in a situation where your irrational belief in a “certainty” you cannot possibly know is a certainty, becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. This point alone, the Universe 25 possibility, should make it obvious that similar thoughts that lead down similar (if less total) outcomes are also to be ignored.

So for example, the idea that “all white people will soon be extinct” or “high IQ people do not breed together because there is not enough of them” or the more common “marriage and children is a loser’s game because all women are whores and will divorce-rape you” and all the various variants of that kind, are in essence self-fulfilling, loser’s bets on life. The fact that your specific marriage may turn into a hellscape, or your specific life becomes a dead end is not relevant to the entire sub-species you represent.

Yes nature does not care about you specifically, but you specifically can and do affect nature. Make 15 children and chances are most of them survive. If they all too make 15 children from age 20 on, like you did, guess what the landscape of your tribe looks like 100 years from now if you just start out with you and your wife as Adam and Eve? On that basis, starting with you and your wife having had 15 children by the time you are both say 40, if all your children and theirs and so on do the same, meaning that every 40 years they all have a batch of 15 children each, if you lived to be 140, you would have over 17 thousand descendants. 17,275 to be exact. And if the average age of death was say 80, then almost all of them would still be alive, since the first iteration (at year 20) is only 135 people. And that’s only ONE family. Imagine if you have ten such families in the same area. You now have a small nation after one century. Which in the scheme of things is not so much time. And if the genetic serums actually sterilise and wipe out most of humanity, you will not only be a small nation, you will be the majority within it. And it might not be such a small geographical area after all. Now imagine them all of the same religion that takes no crap from depopulationist satanists like Klaus Schwab and Bill Gates and their pedophile friends.

“But people don’t make 15 children each, and how do you feed them all, and send them to college?!?”

Patience grasshopper. People who bought the lies and live in clown world no longer make 15 children. But people did do that for centuries in Catholic countries. And that was before the internet, and Amazon deliveries, and often before indoor plumbing and central heating, and certainly before electricity and tractors and industrial fertilisers and automated harvesting machines… so let that sink in a little and park it in your brain somewhere while we continue to look at reality and possibilities instead of the ghosts boomers put in your head.

This is one of the many reasons why it is good to hate the Boomer, or at the very least, to reject the Boomer and all his pomps and all his philosophies. Hope is not only a virtue, it is one of the three primary Christian virtues, along with Faith and Love.

Don’t worry about college. It’s a net-negative artifact of the 1960s-1990s anyhow. If you’re going to walk the path of the materialistic hedonist, you shouldn’t be getting married and having children anyhow, just plug into the pharma-sexual matrix and extinguish yourself over time in an overdose of Clown World oxytoxin.

Originally I was going to post this as a response to a comment, then realized I would have to copy-paste it about 30 times over. Instead I'll link this post:

Boomers were the first generation to care more about themselves than their progeny. Or even the ones that came before them. Boomers had the easiest time finding good paying jobs that rewarded loyalty. Boomers had the 9 to 5 or 8 to 6 schedule; gifted to them by their grandparents. Boomers eliminated this schedule. Boomers worked their way up from sweeping a broom to management. Boomers created HR and inflated college degrees. Boomers threw their kids out at age 18 to fend for themselves. Boomers removed upward mobility in companies. Boomers voted for regulations and red tape on trades. Boomers voted for every tax that came their way. Boomers kicked their kids out at 18. Boomers did not teach their children the family business, pushing them to other careers. Boomers did not have family willing to take over their businesses (because they were pushed to other careers). Boomers refuse to step down and relinquish control of anything until they have to (look at our governments). Boomers had the wealth to create retirement homes to throw their parents into (first retirement opened in the USA in 1981), so they didn't have to take care of them. Boomers bought the most amount of houses, toys, etc as they approached retirement. Which rapidly inflated the cost of housing as houses were now owned by boomers who wanted passive income from rent. Boomers who retired proceeded to sell their investments to blow on depreciating things and materialistic goals. Mobile homes, cars, boats, trips across the country to visit every casino possible, etc.
Boomers with inheritance to leave, often sold to other boomers or refused to pass it down because their children did not "work hard enough" to "earn" their inheritance.
Boomers left nothing behind for their children, their grandchildren, their great grandchildren. When you raise this to a boomer they will respond with one of two preprogrammed responses. "I don't care because I will be dead and gone" or "I worked hard for what I have and you didn't have my life because you didn't work hard enough." (the average worker now works more hours than the average boomer did)
Boomers now rot in the retirement homes they created wondering why their family won't visit.

- Sorry to burst your bubble, but, these boomers refused to get vaccinated even when our companies threatened to fire us, even when our doctor threatened to not see us anymore, even when we were told we couldn’t enter stores or travel…. We still refused…. but one of our adult sons went out and got vaccinated even though we begged him not to… In fact, most of our Boomer friends refused to get vaccinated, but all of their kids and grandkids went out and got “Fully Boosted”
- stop generalizing…I see tons of young idiots still wearing masks…
- you are a idiot, most so called boomers i know did not take it so stfu little boy.
- Jewish tactics to divide us. My boomer sisters and their kids had the same attitude on the vax.
- you’re such a whiney little punk.
- You sound like the left with White men. Your criticism of boomers highlights your own failures. May I recommend a crying room?
- We are normal and most of you have been fucked over by the CIA and fed poison to reduce your T levels. It is painfully obvious to outsiders. Theodore’s blog is an echo chamber, however. And all of his little calamities rush to his rescue to gain his approval. I would be embarrassed to complain about my parents the way you little pussies do. BTW, Boomers didn’t have mudsharking, crying rooms, heteroflexibility or any of the pathologies younger generations have exhibited in large numbers. My father would have kicked me out of the house on my ass if i snivelled as Theodores boys all do. Maybe your parents decided all of you were hopeless failures and decided there was no point to leaving you a legacy. You homos need to man up and quit crying about daddy not buying you a BMW for your birthday. That’s essentially the sum total of your criticisms. None of you have ever done a hard day’s manual labor in your lives. You blame boomers to deflect your own culpability. Theodore uses you to feel popular and powerful. I’m trying to show how men think, which none of you are. If you don’t man up, the coons will eat your lunch when goings go South. They already fuck your women.

It’s always amusing how so many Boomers simply cannot help a) identifying with their g-g-generation and b) defending the actions of their g-g-generation while c) explaining that they are special and different every time anyone criticizes their collective actions.

It also demonstrates that Boomers don’t understand statistics. According to the CDC, as of 10 October 2022, 95 percent of the 65+ age group is vaccinated, the highest percentage of any age group. Furthermore, Boomers also had the smallest drop-off from one dose to a complete series as 92.8 percent of all 65+ US citizens have been vaccinated and boosted.

The younger generations obviously see things very differently.

- This hits the nail on the head. Boomers were/are so selfish. The best of everything for themselves, never a bit of effort for anyone else, even their own families. They had career jobs where they literally just showed up with a resume and a handshake, first class pension plans, 8 hour work days, first class health and dental plans, 4 weeks vacation and paid days off… and they still had minimal involvement with their children and almost no helping with the grandkids. They shut off the career jobs, the pensions and health plans, the vacations, as soon as the last boomer got in. They laugh about spending money that could have been used to help their grandkids live in a good school district, but they need the second cruise every year and the vacation condo.
- This cuts very close to home for me. I imagine once the old bastard dies, the assets will be on the negative side as he’s led a pampered lifestyle and given very little to help others.
- It’s sad that the vax was urged on kids to protect their grandparents, even though it now turns out there’s no evidence being vaxed protects from passing the virus on. Now our governor has just ordered all kids in California to be vaccinated, even tho there’s no evidence kids are harmed by catching COVID-19.
- The graph you posted a couple weeks ago from Pew, showing that Gen X parents spend a lot more time with their kids than Boomer parents, very informative. If I’m perceiving this correctly, Gen X’s strategy was more to drop out of the Boomer’s world and being the best parents possible, while my generation, Millennials, is more about directly confronting and destroying the Boomer World Order. And I’m just fine with that arrangement!
- Boomers really can’t help themselves. One little suggestion that their generation isn’t perfect and they flock in to tell you how great they are. The boomers were the whiniest generation, then proceeded to raise their children terribly. Almost all the issues with millennials can be laid at the feet of the boomers. We do hate you. You all abandoned us for sex and hedonism, tanked our economy, destroyed the moral foundation and abandoned Christ.
- Captures the attitude of some boomers perfectly.
- Too funny. NO matter how many times it’s said, some Boomers just can’t bear to have the slightest criticism aimed at them, even if it doesn’t apply to them personally. And look at how some of them respond, childish insults and crass sexual innuendo. Like a bunch of perpetual children.
- What kills me is the look of resignation on the face of this cartoon female mouse. The artist captured it well. I have to accept that some people just can’t be reached. This display of Boomer ignorance, narcissism, and selfishness isn’t just a cartoon. It’s frustratingly real. Imagine self-righteously demanding that we medically experiment on the young, in order to protect the old. That level of selfishness is nearly beyond belief.

https://voxday.net/2022/11/20/worse-than-unbelievers

Some Boomers reacted angrily to the idea that their wicked generation is evil because they are disinclined to curtail their spending in order to leave anything to their descendants. But the facts that one of them demanded I cite are even more damning of their generation than I had imagined.

With the older generation seemingly richer than ever thanks to generous pension provisions and rapidly rising house prices, it’s no surprise to find so many of them ticking off their ‘bucket list’ by travelling abroad, taking up new hobbies or treating themselves to expensive luxuries. In fact, the spending patterns of these golden oldies have become so widespread, they have even gained a name of their own. SKI-ing – or Spending the Kids’ Inheritance – has become the new normal for the over 50s, replacing the desire of previous generations to leave a legacy for their children and grandchildren.

According to a study by SAGA, in 2016 Britain’s over 50s owned almost 70% of the country’s household wealth, amounting to a staggering £6.2trn. What’s more, that figure had risen rapidly, climbing by £660bn in five years. Of the headline figure, pension wealth accounted for £2.52trn and property wealth a further £2.29trn. However, the days where their children could simply sit back and wait to inherit their share of this wealth are fading fast. These days, more and more older people are deciding to enjoy their money themselves rather than leave it behind for their family.

Having grown up in relative austerity in the post war years, many of the so-called baby-boomer generation are reluctant to go without in later life just so they can pass on their hard earned savings to their children. In fact, a study of Attitudes to Inheritance in Britain by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation showed that as many as two-thirds of over 50s would rather enjoy their life than worry about leaving an inheritance, with just a quarter saying they would budget their spending in order to leave something behind.

The study found that while most respondents liked the idea of leaving an inheritance, they did not think they should have to be careful with their cash, or cramp their lifestyle, in order to do so. It is a similar story down-under, where the Challenger National Seniors Australia report found just 3% of Australians over 50 plan to preserve their savings as an inheritance and only 25% said leaving their family anything was a top priority.

US Boomers are no better than their foreign counterparts. Notice that they are spending 57 percent more annually than Generation X, despite the fact that a) they don’t have families to raise and b) most of them are not financially assisting their children and grandchildren.

Separating out net worth along generational lines, it’s Baby Boomers who possess more than half (54%) of all of US household wealth. These Baby Boomers are also spending more than the other generations, with Epsilon reporting that Boomers spend $548.1 billion annually, a figure nearly $200 billion more than the next highest spending generation (Gen X).

Proverbs 13:22: A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.

1 Timothy 5:8: Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Taken as a whole, Boomers are spectacularly awful people. And it’s remarkable to observe how so many of them just can’t stop themselves from demonstrating it every time their generation is called out for its collective wickedness. I posted this on Gab:

Boomers are wicked. Boomers are evil. They are literally the very worst generation in the entire history of Man.

And the responses from Boomers absolutely confirmed the truth of the statement.
