The ash blanket that covers much of Mars' surface came from successive eruptions of volcanoes on the Tharsis Shield, which are said to have occurred between "3.7 billion and 500 million yrs ago."

Sol 115 of the Opportunity Rover Mission May 24, 2004, the the vehicle ran over an obstruction that looks for all the world like a railway sleeper cut from West Australian hardwood, which we say likewise proves time travel unless someone has another explanation re how it got there .. that the movers & shakers at NASA never took a closer look makes a mockery of the entire mission.
