In the movie Rollerball from 1975 corporations had most of the sway in world operations and basically all information and records were held digitally. When people wanted to find out the history of why things happened that way, that information was deleted by the government. Stuff like that is why an all digital future is dumb. And I got my copy of rollerball in 4k physical.

25 years ago I worked in an expensive steakhouse. one night I brought home a 2 lb porterhouse steak that a customer had wasted.

It was about 2 am, and I tossed it over the fence to my neighbors rottweiler thinking he would gnaw on it and be delighted.

instead the big dummy, well over 100 lbs, tried to swallow it whole! he started seriously choking on it and I was just about to hop the fence and attempt the Heimlich maneuver on a huge rotty when he finally managed to get it down.

I could just imagine my neighbor, an ex Alabama football player, coming out the next morning and finding his dog dead!
