I wasn't sure how i was going to like it because I have always used desktops. As it turns out its great. Temps age good, performance is good, its quiet and looks neat. Its a mid range 3060/5800 and powers a QHD external monitor just fine. I can run games on max settings and maintain 60 fps, double that in many games but at least 60 in all games. I'm fine with 60fps at 1440p, I can't even really notice the difference going higher. Maybe if I played competitively it would be more apparent. I'd like to start gaming online with people but I don't really know how to go about doing that. I don't have any friends that game. I'm also not very good at fps and I believe people want to play with skilled gamers rather than casual gamers. I just finished cod wwII and it was really fun, beautiful game. Its impressive what they can do with these war sims now. I got a cooling pad today, they don't do much but I found it at Goodwill for $6.99 and its a good one so I figured why not. I've also raised the rear of the laptop to allow for better airflow through the bottom intakes. I never go above 75c on CPU or gpu while gaming which is impressive. I'd like to get a new game, do you have any suggestions? I like the RGB keyboard lights. I keep them on but have the laptop screen off since I'm using an external monitor. This monitor is very nice. Its a Korean brand and very high quality. I really think 1440p is the perfect resolution to provide great picture quality and good performance. I really think 4k on a PC monitor is unnecessary although nice if you have the power to run it. I was actually really surprised how well the 3060m can handle 1440p with great fps. I didn't think it would because its only 6gb of video ram. I guess that's plenty though.
