Cleaning my original Sega Master System 2 controler

So I finally found a power pack for my old sega from 1990. Plugged it in, works great. Controller not so great. Not very responsive and sticky. Slight feeling of dread. I didn't know where my second controller was and after having cleaned and replaced parts in stuff like PS2, 360 and many N64 controllers, I felt like this adventure was going to die here.

But turned out to be the best controller I ever had the chance to clean. I found some foam lining that was around the base of the D pad that was supposed to stop gunk from getting in and it was still completely intact and not worn out. Looks like gunk had just collected along the side of the D pad and hit a recess that preventing it from getting into hte controller, which is where the foam sat outside. Really simple design, but way way more effective than everything that has come after it. And it was made in china. I am really surprised the foam had not disintegrated after 30 years.

That's it? A grammatically correct and normal sentence form that existed before the group of people you are comparing to makes me specific to that group of people? I've made a total of maybe 5 posts on reddit, probably over 10 years ago. Honestly, attacking a person just because how they start a sentence is pretty childish.
