@Fascinus...just caught your ping...I hose my bears all the time when it's hot, they love it, I get a kick out of watching them bite at the water stream, but on days like today when the bugs are are being real kikes the bears get relief from the cold water stream...I had one mama bear get into a yellow jacket nest the other day and she went nuts, running mad all over the place with her 2 cubs sitting at my feet and watching her, after settling down she came back over and I gave her a good hosing, she even had a yellow jacket crawl out of her ear...I don't know if you've ever experienced their sting but I'll fucking tell you they have a burning numbness that is active for a few hours and then soreness for a couple days after...last year my girl Lashes got into a yellow jacket nest near my cucumber patch and she got it bad, to the point where she even had swollen eyes...fucking bears are tough but they go through hell...as I type this out I've got a mama with 2 very very small and undersized cubs (footballs we call them), other cubs right now are 3 times the size and I don't know if these guys are going to be strong and mature enough to make it through without the coyotes getting them...but they're here at my feet right now.
