Reminds me so much of that original Star Trek episode where some planet was in war with another planet and instead of suffering the devastation of war they all just agreed that they let computer simulate which cities had been struck by nuclear bombs and then the people of those cities would voluntarily walk into these dissolving units which would kill them painlessly and everybody else would say I would so much better than actually having a real war and the people just would die out and everybody else was happy until good old Kirk came along and said oh hell no if you're going to have a war you've got to have it bloody and be messy so you want to stop it.

then I think the big problem that Russia is having right now is that Putin wisely doesn't want her to use nuclear weapons but what that does mean is that he's going to continue to get hit with more and more drones and Russia's going to continue to get hit with more and more drones and more and more people are going to die from Russia and they're going to go to Ukraine and get fed to the meat grinder. And of course I think Ukraine just hit a big ammo Depot that had some nuclear weapons stored in it rather stupidly I'll say and that's spreading some radiation around Russia now so they've had to evacuate some areas so you know if Putin doesn't actually make a stab and go all for broken take out some nuclear weapons and wipe out fucking Kiev and some other places then his Nation will slowly be dissolved or just you know it'll just slowly be eaten away. I mean that's sort of what the result is if you can't use nuclear weapons but you can't really fight all the way so you're just ending up in this sort of weird thing where your people just get killed slowly and surely and your nation gets bombed more and more and I don't know what the fuck you do about it.
