I WISH I'd known about this concert in 1980. It was the 5/4/80 performance of PIL at Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles, and had I known about it, I coulda gone!
Just imagine it, the opening acts were The Plugz, "some Mariachi band" and the Kipper Kids. This was a line-up designed by someone with a really demented sense of humor. If John Lydon didn't have a hand in it, I'd be surprised.
The Kipper Kids are a one-of-a-kind creation that defies description or even belief. All I can tell you is just read this article.
They're about as avant garde as performance art gets while still being entertaining. I personally think they're funny as hell. I think their best piece was on "Mondo Beyondo".
