Most people think Jews were prevented from escaping from Germany during this time, but the National Socialist State did all that it could to help Jews who wished to emigrate.
There was no reason for Jews to wish to move, until ‘world Jewry’ declared war upon Germany in the world’s press and started a global economic blockade.
This caused public opinion to change towards them, but there were still many who preferred to stay and saw themselves as Germans first and Jews second.
