I need to make sure I am following this correctly.

This Canadian woman posted something legal in her home country. Something that is at worst her opinion. Something that in no way incited nor caused violence. She then went to a foreign country as a visitor. The foreign country then arrested, tried, and sentenced her in their courts for the thing she didn't do there at all.

You have it correct. The video where Monika honors here late mother was posted while she was in Canada. She then, after some time went to Germany to visit her brother Alfred. They attended the trial of Sylvia Stolz, Ernst Zundel's lawyer, who was prosecuted for having presented factual evidence while defending her client Zundel in court. During Sylvia Stolz' court trial police suddenly entered and arrested Monika. The charges against her was this video, which was uploaded in a different continent:
