every time I click on the headline and go to the link it opens up in the same page, and I forget that i need to go back and close the picture or whatever the link was and voat is gone. I would like it better if clicking on a title link opened a new tab so when i close the tab i just am automatically back on voat.

It's an option. Click your name. Click Account options on the right. Click Enable next to "Open exetrnal links in a new tab."

yea somebody commented that the switch in account settings was reveresed. I flipped it to 'wrong' and now it's right. Guess the bugs are still getting exorcised

Maybe it's a touch pad gesture, three fingers usually is middle click.
