$8,000 based starting price. They look and sound decent enough, but 8k before you even add the accessories. Dude's awful proud of his shit. I know it takes a while when you do a self build, but damn.
Don't get me wrong, the Driftwood guitar's are beautiful in all ways, but 8k is way too much. That dude can fuck right off and I'd be in the dog house for life if I bought one. I do love me a nice Martin, though. I've never picked one up that I didn't enjoy playing.
For me, it was a total impulse buy. I had cheap Yamahas, and was considering the entry-level Taylor, but something about it made me pause. GC showed me a few Martins, and that was it. D13. Works for me. A bit more than I thought I'd pay, but it's the first thing I pick up.
