I sat and watch a cicada emerge from its old skin and push out its wings. It took awhile, but it was worth my time.

Yeah, tbh I have not heard many this year either.

I did however get inundated with Japanese beetles this year, which I have not seen that many before, I'm wondering if that had to do with the amount of trees that I took down this year.
