Seems like overkill. I have a 3 stage RO filter on my water fridge waterline (Carbon Pre-filter / Reverse Osmosis / Carbon Post-filter) plus a secondary carbon filter contained in the fridge. 2 people in the house and I replace the filters once per year based on our use.
