There's something really endearing about that blank stare.

It's like Greta but with a soul.

That's a fantastic summation.

I get the same look when black people are at the cashier in front of me.

It's like child-proofing a house. You need to make tasks impossible to do incorrectly because they will always be done with zero attentiveness and zero understanding. copy: @Teefinyomouf

Nope. Never been there and this is bull crap. You know why? Because when you plug in you start playing and if you don't get a sound from your guitar you already know it's not because of the 60 cycle hum because that has nothing to do with not getting signal.

Failed and the rest of you guys took the bait. You know why you took the bait? Because it's a cute girl. All those upvotes. smh.

You’re an idiot.

I wholly agree with @MasklessTheGreat that you’re an idiot.

Perfectly normal to make the hum with an amp plugged in and on because as others have said- ac him in the current going into the amp.
Can check the cord signal by having the volume up and touching the tip of the plug for an additional buzz.
I don’t get the standard buzz on my rig because of a power conditioner and noise gate...

I get pissed when my 9 volt is weak and I am too hammered to remember to check it. All kinds of strange shit happens.
I tend to step on my cords here and there and run them...

It's not just this situation. It's like looking for glasses only to find them on my head.

No, that's not a good analogy. It's more like, why is everything blurry when your glass are on your forehead.

I'm surprised shielded/grounded cabling isn't a thing in big studios and musical enthusiasts setups.

[ - ] SparklingWiggle 0 points 4 yearsJun 2, 2021 21:21:03 ago (+0/-0)

It shouldn't be grounded so much as a drain. Only ground one end of the shield.

NO BUZZ IN OUR SMALL STUDIO!!! very very special dimmers on lights to prevent AC hum, special dc lights, special AC outlets, everything. Not one thing recorded in it though... too many buddies had bigger studios, far far bigger, but we did have isolated booths, but with single pane glass.

I mean no buzz (hum) when I say no buzz.

That had me laughing the walls down, thanks OP.
