I think youre screwed to be honest. If I had to say I would say avoid any company that is international.

What skills do you have? And why does a job with those skills not afford a 1 bedroom apartment? Sounds like you need to move to a lower cost of living.

I subbed for a contractor that would short you $5 bucks every single week. I started charging him for my time the minute I got in the truck to drive to work to the minute I stepped out of it at home. It averaged 4-5 hours a week at $18 an hour.

Develop a marketable skill and market it instead of working for corporations. They are no longer worth dealing with.

That being said....

If you don’t have skills to make more than near minimum wage, you need to suck it up and develop the necessary skills so that you do.

For example, If you are relegated to working at Burger King flipping burgers, learn the other positions in the kitchen, be valuable to the manager, take additional responsibilities. Help fellow employees train so you prove capable of it... there’s a promotion to assistant manager/shift manager.. Help the GM order supplies, deal with vendors, equipment management/maintenance, help with scheduling, meet the regional team.. and soon you may be offered an opportunity at a new/different store owned by the franchisee... Keep learning new responsibilities from the franchisee and his team from the corporation that and you may then be promoted regionally, or be offered franchises of your own....

No one will give you anything unless you earn it.
There are assholes everywhere. If you are truly incompatible with an employer, you need to move on and find something you are relatively excited for and can find a passion for. It will come if you look and have a bit of luck. Don’t settle, or you won’t fulfill your potential.
Don’t be discouraged, and don’t have an attitude of “me vs the world”. Allow those who have been there before to teach you/be open to learn. When we are young, we all have an attitude that we know better. It takes maturity to be humble and pay dues to be a master of your trade- whatever it may be.

If you can't move to a White area right now - Put your head down and work. Save money. Take jobs that you think will give you the experience that'll be beneficial for when you do move.

Go to your nearest home builder and apply for an apprenticeship. I went from $15 to $25 in less than 4 years.

On motivation, you can either run toward something or away from something. What peple might not tell you is that either one is okay, as long as it works. Figuring out which one you're doing and focusing on it might help you get moving. I didn't start a hustle until I was living out of my car (2009, bosses were actual jews, I got hosed). That's what it took for me to need some financial independence. Maybe you're the same way and clown world freaks you out enough to get moving. In any case, if there's ever a chance you'll go that rounte then start laying the ground work now. You don't want to scramble for it at the last minute.

If you want to work, you can make money. If you work hard, you won't be on the bottom of the pack for very long.

Start with with a good attitude.

I wish my employees fivve more than their hours: if they did I'd give them more money. Remember: employers don't owe you anything except for what you give.
