They probably already do low key. Heineken got in huge trouble years ago for sponsoring a dog fight in mongolia (although they tried to deny it).

Also, the riders are often poor kids trying to make it big. They don't tend to own the horses, rich locals lend them the horses in the hope they'll score and make the horse famous/valuable. Kinda like horseracing used to be.

Not sure about this, but camel racing has used child jockeys for centuries. More recently they've tended to import them from poor muslim countries like afghanistan to compete in wealthy ones like Saudi Arabia. It's a high risk sport and a lot of them are killed.
