aussie snakes have shorter fangs than the rest of the world when our snakes bite their venom goes into the lymphatic system which is what deals with toxins and venom.
thats not under pressure, requires movement between skin and flesh for it to move around the body. if you get bitten on the wrist for instance, by an aussie snake and hold your arm in place for 3 days you wont get sick. you start removing clothing and moving skin and flesh that venom pumps up the arm, if it gets to your armpit it goes into lymph nodes and then the venom gets into your blood and youre in trouble.
snakes everywhere else put venom straight into the blood which fucks you up.
