Joy Games has a game in early access known as Time Ranger. It's a VR game where you use time manipulation mechanics to take on gold and silver enemies.

However, it's all a massive front. The game's original name was Change Ranger and those chrome criminals used to be some fairly detailed thugs and hooligans. And a good chunk of them were as black as sin.

This led to some...problems. A topic opened up on the game's forums warning that having a white protagonist mowing down niggers may not be the best look in current year.

The devs decided to cuck in the weirdest way. They changed the texture of the enemies to be a multi-racial gang at first...then proceeded to change the enemies into silver and gold metallic monstrosities that still dress like gang bangers.

Amazingly enough, the devs actually admitted this was due to negative backlash; though it's hard to say how much. Outside of a small, non-hostile warning on the forums, I can't find a single complaint about the enemies. The complaints they were responding to probably came from other sources.

This must have been a fast fix because the screenshots page still show images of the original art style with the new one higher up (as seen in the article image).

Ah well. As much as this pre-emptive pussification is disappointing, the delisted demo still sports the original art style in the demo still image and can be installed through Steamdb.info. Link is down below.

I don't have any VR setup, so I can't tell you if the textures were changed in it as well, but maybe one of you can let me know.
