Immovable houseboats aren't really houseboats anyway. They have to be towed if you want to move them.

With all the investment companies gobbling up single family homes I imagine the property taxes will skyrocket to the point where they pretty much equal monthly rent payments, if you want to live somewhere there are jobs that is.

Buying the "right" house may take some time. It might be better to rent for a year while house hunting.

Also, home prices might come down in the near future.
