Fucking retarded Negress. War of 1812. Fought because British Navy refused to stop boarding American merchant vessels, and enslaving their crews. Er, sorry "impressing" their crews to work as British sailors, because the Brits were fighting Napoleon on the Continent.
The stanza she is referring to is the slamming of the British, our enemy at the time. When they reprinted it during The Great War, they omitted it, because Britain was out ally, and everyone knew that it was basically dogging the Brits for its shit practices that started a war with us by enslaving us.
I love how she says if you know your history as though she is even remotely in the most generous sense any type of history buff. I guarantee you she knows absolutely nothing about history at all except the notion that at some point in the past some of her ancestors might have been slaves.
The 3rd stanza has the word "slave" in it!!! And since ONLY blacks have ever been enslaved, and only in America, this is obviosuly talking about them, not that the "British" land forces in North America in the War of 1812 were mercenaries hired because British regulars were, you know, fighting Napoleon, hence the term "hirelings." And that the Royal Navy was manned by impressed men grabbed off the street and forced to work the ships. Which is slavery - forced labor is slavery. Hence the use of the term "slaves."
The blood of hirelings and slaves refers not to black slaves in North America, but the British fighting force. Besides, why the fuck would Key have written ANYTHING about black slaves in a poem about the Defense of Fort McHenry (which is the actual title of his poem.)
I agree, the Negress was taught "only blacks have ever been slaves", and "muh reparashuns." I wonder (((who))) taught her these things?
"I never said that I hated the country. I never said that. All I said was I respect my people enough to not stand for or acknowledge something that disrespects them. I love my people. Point blank, period."

"If you know your history", indeed.
