It being LEGO was just a formality. Frame, OK. Motors were the biggest hindrance. And it wasn't all LEGO anyway. Flight controller, batteries, wiring.

i can remember an ad in the late 80s which had a kid breaking into a house by building a lego machine and putting it through a doggy door
