This further supports my hypothesis that the only science you need is science intended for a practical outcome. You will see all the weird things that makes nature nature along the way.
Engineering shouldn't be a side effect of Science. Science should be a side effect of Engineering.
Quantum mechanics too was a product of trying to engineer better light bulbs. If it could matter to the practical world it will show up in the practical world somewhere given how many different applications exist.
