I was in animation school in the 90’s and I sent a letter to Walter Lantz. I had never written to anyone before that I didn’t know. My art school on the east coast had an ancient multi plane animation camera that Lantz had scratched his name on. Many names from the golden age of animation was scratched on the camera rig, but his was the only name I recognized. I wrote to tell him where his old oxberry had washed up. It might have been the same rig used to film this negro cartoon. He wrote back and we had a correspondence for a bit. He invited me to visit if I was ever on the west coast. I spent an afternoon with him when he was 92. He was still sharp as a tack. He had a private museum behind his house that was amazing. He died two years later. Rip Walt.

This was a Walter Lantz production. Lantz was the son of Italian immigrants who were originally named Lanza and had their name "Anglicized" at Customs. The only jew in this is Mel Blanc.

Yes, that's quite true. It's well known that jews settled in Hollywood specifically to create movie studios, and by the 1930s the majority of studios were owned by jews. Those that were not were eventually overwhelmed and bought out by the jew-owned studios.

But I was addressing the statement that the cartoon was "made" by jews, that's all. Sadly, even cartoonists like Tex Avery, who created some of the most controversial cartoons (by current standards), had to work for jew-owned studios Warner Brothers and MGM. It's hardly remarkable that very few "offensive" (i.e., accurate) representations of jews appear in these old cartoons. One notable exception was a "Three Little Pigs" cartoon produced by Disney Studio that showed a jewish immigrant from Eastern Europe as an itinerant peddler. This is one of the reasons Disney was often smeared as "anti-semitic".

The subtext is interesting. This is the story description from IMDB: "The black residents of Lazy Town are bored one day until a sultry light-skinned woman shows up to teach them what rhythm is."

It's been proven that light-skinned negroes are more intelligent and have better discipline and impulse control than dark-skinned negroes. Whites watching this likely don't notice it at first, but I guarantee every black person who watches this will notice the color gradations of the negroes. Blacks generally have much less regard for light-skinned negroes because they consider them "tainted" by White blood.

Walter Lantz was the son of Italian immigrants whose original name was Lanza. It was changed by an immigration agent to sound more "Anglicized". He wasn't a jew.
