FUN FACT: People have died from earthquakes in Yellowstone.

I read a whole sobering book on the topic.

Yellowstone is over the thinnest chunk of earths mantle , technically its not even on that, its a crust over a volcano waiting to erupt. The area is constantly having minor and major earthquakes, and every 800,000 years a massive explosion.

A trail of ancient dead mega-volcanoes shows the path of tectonic plate over the hot zone. Just as pacific islands pop up in a string over time, like Hawaii, YELLOWSTONE has devastated USA dozens of times based on ash evidence and locations of old volcanoes.

100% of scientists agree YELLOWSTONE WILL BLOW UP and devastate a third of USA again... the argument is over "when". Most predictions are under 1% for the next 1,000 years, but 1% is still scary.

The last three massive explosions were

1 > recently 640,000 years ago
2 > 1.3 million years ago
3 > 2.1 million years ago

So every 800,000 years it has been blowing up. We are probably safe until the extinction of remaining pure White people in USA, and then its no longer an issue.
