As amusing as that would be, it wouldn't make any sense in the context of Temujin's early life. He would have no reason to have contact with a jew or know who Jesus, Moses or Mohammed were.

The idea he was a blacksmith comes from a proposed etymology of his name, but the mongols' own history says he was named for a captive of his father's.

His rise to power occurred after a particularly tough upbringing: His father was murdered then his tribe abandoned his family, leaving them to fend for themselves on the steppe. I have never heard a story about him retreating to meditate as a hermit.

Retreating to meditate as a hermit is an oft repeated fable in muzzie world because mohammad ostensibly did it. They probably stole it from Buddha though who probably did become a hermit. I don’t like Christopher Hitchens, but his work showing how islam plagiarised everything from other religions was pretty solid.

I think it's very possible for Genghis to have heard of Moses, Jesus or Muhammed. The Abrahamic religions were still quite big at that time and let's not forget the sizeable jewish population in central Asia at that time which is why they even managed to make the Khazarian Empire openly jewish. Khazars were already mostly jews before the supposed conversion. I wouldn't find it impossible for the names of these prophets to have reached Genghis ears.

But I agree, this story is interesting but probably fake but it gives us an insight on how Muslims explanation on how an infidel like Genghis Khan could be able to become so powerful.

But I don't dismiss the notion that the Mongolians might have been helped by jews in their conquest, we know that during the Mongolian rulership, religious liberty was granted with the exception of halal and kosher slaughter not being allowed but overall, more freedom was granted to the jews by the Mongols in comparasion to Europe. That's a motive.

Also, it's considered that one of the reasons for the Mongols success was that they must have had a far-reaching intelligence network, possessing a profound foreknowledge of land layouts, military strongholds, urban centers etc. Who might this intelligence network even be? We know that jews even back to this time had an international network, that's how they managed to be as strong as they were, because even though they were scattered all over the world, they still held together through their network. It's very possible this same network was aiding the Mongols.

14th century Turk-Mongol conqueror, Timur, who shared a common ancenstor with Genghis Khan on his father side and who envisioned a revival of the Mongol Empure under Genghis Khan, was very friendly with jews. Timur on his conquest killed approximately 17 million people which was about 5% of the world population at that time. All non-jews.

Timur left jews entirely alone, never implemented any anti-jewish measures, made sure they had it good. Timur and the jews were loyal to each other and even worked together. This shows the cozy relationship jews had with mass-murdering Mongols.

Not where he lived.

That's the opposite side of asia, 3000 miles away. That's longer than new york to california, almost the length of south america. It's not like Temujin was a highly connected urbanite living on a trade route, he was the heir to a sheep herding chieftan. He would have had no reason whatsoever to have heard of Muhammed before he became a conqueror.

It's a typical move by jews to side with conquerors and barter for position, yes, but that wouldn't have happened until after he conquered china.

Ok, but that's still not Temujin.

Fair enough.

Yes that's true but it's also typical for jews to side and help out leaders who were ''tolerant'' and for ''religious liberty'' for their own benefit.

In the case of the mongols I think it was more that they were winning. The jews were rats fleeing a sinking ship.

This is false. The Steppes were close to Muslim Western modern day China which would have related to him the stories of the three mentioned prophets.

Ditto

You're putting the cart before the horse: Islam reached mongolia and northwest asia in general beacuse of Genghiz Khan. His conquest of Asia resulted in several foreign religions reaching the area, including Islam and Buddhism. Christianity had already reached Mongolia but only to a very limited degree and I don't see a Christian missionary preaching about mohommed. At the time of Temujin's rise to power the Mongols were predominantly Tengriists.

The obviously fake story in the OP likely came from an Islamic region with mongol rulers (of which there were several) trying to justify their rule with a false history.

Someone has been reading their Mathis. Genealogy is fascinating once applied to jewish lineages.

It’s khan and it’s a title deeply rooted in mongol history

Did you know, Genghis was actually a viking descendant from much older viking excursions into Russia. There are plenty of eye witness accounts describing him as having red hair and very light eyes. He and his clansmen (relatives) were also very tall which is not the norm for chinkoids,
The 14th century muzzie claiming he went to mountains (like mohammad ostensibly did) to devote life to god and only eat kosher foods, is yet another fantasy weaved by them muzzies. They make this crap outta their ass all the time to elevate their status in history or to tell muslim sheep how glorious their god is that even non believers worship him.
