I'd never heard of that before.

Thanks!

If you like caraway seed, you’ll luv Aquavit. Best served straight up from bottle frozen in a block of ice.

Cheers.

Great suggestion regarding freezing the bottle in ice.

I'll have to see if I can find some.

Over priced

I've had the Ocean. As I recall, it was quite good.

The last bourbon to really stand out for me, however, was Weller.

Woodford - can’t go wrong.

Another solid choice.

You ever try Bookers? It's been a long time and I recall enjoying that one immensely.

Dunno, but doubt it.
Was a gin, rum and Canadian whiskey fan.
(But not all at the same time.)
Had to quit.

Had to quit.

Sorry to hear that. Glad it worked out for you though.

I've never tried Canadian. Got any recommendations?

Black Velvet Reserve - 8 years old. @ $15.xx USD 750 ml.
Recommend.

P.S. - mix with some genuine maple syrup, lime squeeze, over ice or strained. Not too shabby.

Weller (reserve) is excellent. The problem with Ocean is that each batch is different. The first one I tryed was "OMG!!!", the last one, Meh, nothing special. But there is no discount if it is a lesser quality bourbon. When they hit it out of the park, it's worth it, but when they don't, they are overcharging to an extreme. But for me, the memory of that first one was enough that I still buy at least one from every release. I share it with my brother as he's more of a bourbon fan than me, and I'm a fan for sure.
