I looked it up. They found a corpse with kleinenfelder syndrome, ie. male with the occasional xx chromosome cells. It's quite common (1 in 660 men have it) and most will never notice. They also described the clothing as "typically female" but eh. Doesn't look distinctive to me. Chances are it's just some inbred noble, if you went back in time and called him "non-binary" or suggested he was part woman you'd probably end up with an axe in your head.
Nonbinary has not manifested itself in any legends or tales that I'm familiar with. This seems more like a case of presentism: projecting present day values onto the past because of a lack of critical thinking skills.
Yea. Even the talumd's six genders is an even number. There's a male and female version of each. Biblical Adam before eve was non-binary. I guess he was a unary male at that point.
Eve was created from a side of adam though, so the original adam was bigender. He had to be split in two to create male and female.
Also, the talmudic "genders" are overstated in terms of importance, they're more like legal categories recognising various injuries and disfigurements. Ie. edge cases that fall outside of the male/female legal norm.
It's a bit like the way we have different laws to account for retarded adults, because they can't be treated like mentally mature adults.
Oh ya I forgot about Adam before Eve. Didn't consider that. But wasn't that seen as kind of a lacking circumstance? Hence the whole creation of Eve arc?

Then they took the Vikings. And I said nothing because I was not a Viking.

It was so strange to see it used "how it used to be.".
