I think honeypot is likely, if not then this site is not so bad. I find it pretty likely that most sites are compromised.

Any site with public access is naturally a honeypot, as it can be monitored by anyone.

The internet is and always has been a honeypot. One day the US gov said "Hey guys we invented this cool thing where you can talk all over the globe. Instantly. It's amazing. You can have it. Talk among yourselves. We totally wont be listening."

It's why they made encryption of a certain level illegal, as far as I remember.

We could have had default end-to-end encryption on everything already, in a really secure manner. As always, a certain entity is the enemy of true security and privacy of citizens.
