Patriarchal polygyny is the cause of the ultra low status of women in Islamic societies. When males are allowed to compete for possesion of multiple females you end up with hypersexual ultra-violent males who collect females (particularly very young ones ) as livestock. Uppity females are deselected. Within this regime men must keep tight control over females to ensure paternity. Hence the bedsheets. Women have much lower bargaining power over a husband with 3 other wives. This seems to be true of all polygynous societies afaik, not just islamic ones. The violence and machismo is genetic after several generations of polygyny because a small number of assholes father most of the population. Every generation get more asshole-y in polygyny.

In polygyny there is no trust between males because 1) you’re brother is really only your half-brother, he’s a competitor 2) there’s a constant scarcity of females so murdering other males makes more sense than doing business with them. This last bit is why polygynous countries are so economically dysfunctional.

You could argue that monogamist societies go wrong because they allow females so much power that they have demanded wealth redistribution without performing their most basic task for society. Taliban is certainly the antidote for that problem. But then you have to live in a shithole. And Id kill myself if I had to wear that thing.
