More shipping problems.

Remember when this happened at the Panama Canal and q said it was white hats disrupting human trafficking? That hopium was some good stuff.

Fake pandemic to cause actual shortages.

This fake pandemic bullshit is getting on my fucking nerves.

All part of the plan. Sure weak plan but the entire world is weak.

Planned. More reasons to justify inflation.

Has to be. We need a specific breaker, it's been out of stock everywhere for months. The official story is the town in Mexico where it's made was shut down from the pandemic. They want industry shut down, supply disrupted.

The "reasons" for this are always vague and unsatisfactory. The word "Unions" never appears.

They're making the shot mandatory in other transportation sectors, do you think this is affecting it? Seems unrelated, since the first shipping stall we heard about was back in February.

absolutely. i know the NYC subway and bus systems have fallen apart due to low staffing. Airlines of course have been cancelling absurd numbers of flights for the same reason.

Yup. The green are the carrier/container ships.

There are a lot more out there heading this way from Asia too.

Look at that, thanks for confirming.

The article says the average delay is seven days. That sounds like a long time to have that many ships clogging up the waterways

It's nuts. I feel bad for those poor guys crewing on those things just stuck there, as I sail around them. Sometimes there will be some guy on deck somewhere to wave to.

It's hard to imagine this backup. I've never done logistics, but I worked in a big retail store where timely deliveries were critical. I can't imagine the people in charge tolerating a week plus delay on their products.

And this entails WAY more than a week for retailers, even seven days is optimistic for some of these ships. After all, once they finally DO get into port, they still need to be offloaded to trucks and trains, which are also rife with delays and shortages.
