There's a lot more involved in the FGNT than may be apparent. We've been doing it every Friday night for 4 years and are entrenched in our methods. For just one item is site longevity. Voat was stable until it wasn't, nothing is forever. We've considered moving to NewVoat before but it's not time yet to do so. Maybe in the future.

It should be important to note the thread has always been independent of the site we're on. It is possible to be part of thread without visiting the rest of a site or being involved in it's politics, but only if the priority of playing music means more to the person involved. Each must choose their own.

We've always encouraged anyone who thinks they can develop and maintain a home music thread has our blessings. Sharing music is the highest priority no matter where or by whom.
