I don’t get the downvoat hate. It’s a part of the sorting process. Upvote good content, downvoat bad content, the users sort the content by consensus. The Poal theory on downvoats is retarded. If you don’t want people to downvoat, remove the option.

As far as allowing some users to be downvoated without it reflecting your ratio, I would rather not, it’s a slippery slope to graying out accounts. Let the votes decide.
