Back in 1976 I was literally one signature away from signing on with the local police force but two things ended that career move...first was I had to spend my 2 rookie years in the Toronto area undercover with focus on a particular motorcycle "club"...second was the binding "code of ethics"...once a cop you have to distance yourself from all former and present friends, even family because you may have to arrest them some day....BUT....stay close enough because you may need them for information. I couldn't walk both sides of the road so I became a Hoisting Engineer and eventually an integral component to an infamously reputable "MC" where I shared my "Law Enforcement" manuals with the Bro's, the most interesting segments in these manuals are the "set-up, surveillance, execution of warrants and writ of assistance procedures". Average Joe and Jane Doe have no clue as to how corrupt the legal system is, Canadian and American both.
Cops are only as smart as the rats they arrest.
