i just hooked back up my old keyboard.

I got this mechanical keyboard because I thought I would like it more than my cheap gaming squishy keyed keyboard. As it turns out I don't. I'm going to take an online typing class. I'm key poking again.

How old is it. Ps2 interface with the round plugs? Did you hook it up to your butt hole?

Try different switches. I switched from cherry green to zlient v2. So much better

The IBM Model M is almost indestructible. I have one at work that I've kept since 1994 from a PS2. It's older (and works better) than some of the new hires.

People sometimes comment on the noise when I'm typing. Fuck 'em. It's better than an old Selectric or manual.

They can go eat a cold turd. Typing on one of those is great.

Totally different than the shitty little just adequate keyboards on laptops these days... but bringing my selectric derivative keyboard here to the boat corroded it;s switches... and even though they're individually replacable and all that, where the hell does one find these, and then how is the job done? I need to just figure that out, because I miss that keyboard. Also I should just buy a new one - if any American companies are still making them.

So instead of going "click" the keys will go "chink". I assumed great tech was US but I'm old enough to remember when we wouldn't speak to "Red China". I still cringe when I see the Made in China tag.

Like this? https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/store/item.aspx?id=47 Mechanical, so probably something I'd like. Fancy lights but I bet it doesn't have the classic PS2 plug like mine. i didn't know there was anyone still making the mechanical type. Good news as the Model Ms wear out in another 100 years.
