They were pretty useless as allies to the Germans. The Germans didn't receive any help from them on the Eastern Front when the Japanese could have helped the Germans against the Soviet Union by attacking them from the West from Manchuria.

In fact, bringing down the Soviet Union should have been the main priority of the Japanese but instead they were retarded enough to fall for the trap that was Pearl Harbor.
