I have never had to do a captcha on any archiving service to date, nor do I suspect many others have had to either.
It does make me wonder what 2022 holds for us. The past three months or so have been OTT trying to get us all vaxxed - will that ease off or will they be as frantic trying to get us booster shotted as they have been with the first two?

Your absolutely correct and it is indeed scary. So let it be a lesson we teach our young that the TV has incredible power over peoples thoughts and minds.(not that we didn’t already know this but this is a concrete example we can point to) and that politicians are never to be trusted.
They did this in Western Canada. Opened everything up for 2.5 months. It was over the summer and for 2 weeks into the new school year. Then they brought back the restrictions, masks, etc.
Before the new round of restrictions, they hit a peak for injections. Everyone who was stupid enough (and who couldn't refuse) to get injected, already did.
Then they brought back the restrictions for 2 reasons -
- To demoralise the unvaxxed - "Yeah you lasted through the first round, but this will never end, so you might as well just give up." And also to reward the vaxxed and then take it all away because of the unvaxxed. - "See vaxxed people, you could be free, but the unvaxxed took it from you. Hate and attack the unvaxxed."
- And to put all of the focus on the kids. - "Unvaxxed kids are the reason people are dying. Kids need to be vaxxed to end the pandemic and restrictions. Vaxx your kids or we'll continue to make them suffer." And like above, the vaxxed got their reward of restrictions being lifted because they obeyed, but had it taken away by the unvaxxed. - "So don't let the unvaxxed kids take your freedom like the unvaxxed adults did."
So yes, they will open everything up in Australia praising the vaxxed. Then they'll lock it all down again blaming the unvaxxed, focusing on unvaxxed kids. Just like they did here.
