This was actually one of my first wakeup calls, and got me to consider conspiracies in general as not 'crackpottery'.

If you remember BP's deepwater horizon's event, which was all over the news, you might also remember that one of the worst things they did was spray surfactants all over the surface of the ocean, which made the oil form 'tarballs' and sink.

Chemtrails were a hot topic online at the time, and I, by happenstance, wondered what they were using to spray the surfactants over literal square miles of ocean. Turns out there were companies that have large tanker craft outfitted with sprayers, and my first thought was 'these must have already existed - there is no way they converted normal aircraft that quickly'.

Turns out I was right, and here I am now.

It was probably a Lockheed C-130 Hercules. You can buy them (theoretically if we weren't all broke).
