Threadly reminder not to feed the bots or kikes - please click on Yeehaw's comment history before replying to him. His account was created (in conjunction with another likely-shill account) to push a narrative that Kyle was an actor and the whole thing is staged.
I didn't create multiple accounts and had lurked for awhile. Finally created since I'd thought voat was more cognizant of psyops and hoaxes. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case and is just another site for sheep.
Sure, the court system tends to favor prosecutors, so (in theory anyway) whatever fundamental rights the defendant has must be carefully respected.
The fact that this ADA faggot decided to encroach on Kyle’s 5A multiple times even after being directly warned is the basic equivalent of schoolyard bullying, but with the additional jeopardy of life in prison.
The judge will declare a mistrial because this greedy kike prosecutor can't resist his gun control narrative. Watch.
Unfortunately they will initiate a trial by media for the AR15 itself. Kyle isnt the target here, he is merely a vector to "spark a conversation" on why AR15s should be banned.
Down here defendants are not. They can if they want to, but it isn't wise in most cases, because witnesses, defendants or not, get nervous and stressed - especially in a case of this magnitude. Kyle is too young to dissemble.
No. His Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination prevents that requirement.
Under normal circumstances, it is inadvisable for the defendant to take the stand because whatever they say can only hurt their case. However, in this case, Kyle is presenting an affirmative defense; that is, the argument is "Yes I did everything I am accused of, but it was not against the law."
In cases like this, there are calculated risks to taking the stand, but in most cases like these there are advantages to testifying because it garners sympathy from the jury, and can even make it look like the prosecution is unfairly bullying him. And in this case, that's what happened -- it looked like the state was viciously pushing a kid around.

Unfortunately, the general population does not often employ logic in their daily lives.
