"Earlier this week, Marlon Brando met with Jewish leaders to apologize for comments he made on Larry King Live, among them that “Hollywood is run by Jews.” The Jewish leaders accepted the actor’s apology and announced that Brando is now free to work again."

RIP Norm MacDonald

Edit: Lotta Norm fans here, I see. He was one of a kind. If you haven't read his book "Based on a True Story", it's totally worth your while. The joke I posted above was one of his favorites too, and he included it in the book.

Norm was a bro. My favorite joke was when he was talking about creating a time machine to go back and kill Hitler but falling under the spell of his beautiful eyes.

I can't speak to his intentions, but it's was pure comedy on his part. The people he was paired with couldn't be more of an odd couple and he must have shredded whatever confidence they had going into it. He looked like he was the only one having fun.

Jeff Ross has smoked himself harmless to anything but comedians and small children. He does bring bantz, but I bet just about anyone here could make him kvetch. Imagine how easy you'd go on the ugly fucker if your job was on the line.

I fell out of my chair when I watched Norm calling him Egret. His delivery is always perfect, and that stammer is all part of his delivery, so calling him Egret was totally intentional. Making him squirm in front of jewish guests when Norm called him a "virulent anti-semite" was pretty hilarious because the guests weren't part of the joke and took it seriously. "I had a *bar mitzvah!" he'd whine. Good stuff. No one could troll like Norm.

I agree, he wasn't. He played his cards close to the vest and said the things that would get him work, but you can tell from what he says about the length of chimney shadows and concentration camps that he's done his research. He might have been acting like it was all a joke, but he really wasn't joking.

Found it! It's Season 21 episode 17, first broadcast April 13, 1996. It's like his fourth joke, and it got a huge laugh and some applause from the New York audience.

I was totally hooked on Norm this last year.
My favorite stuff is his appearances on Dennis Millers show. With his anti-Semitic ventriloquist puppet. His rapport with Miller as well as Conan and Letterman makes those appearances Golden.
