A typical Baptist Prayer would include asking God to bless the food to the nourishment of our bodies. A thanks for fellowship among family and friends and a short and concise prayer for some going of ons.
The dinner prayer was never part of my families culture growing up. Only came during large gatherings for holidays where the head had to do some long winded speech. As I'm now the head, man I really don't like having to come up with something on the spot. This thread would be very helpful in some regards.
