Had someone try to get injured for insurance or something, the road was icy and I couldn't stop. I'd have ended up spinning out or similar, while they likely threw themselves in my way. So instead I quickly moved into the far lane, watched as they sprinted across the road trying to get in front of me and I sped up. It was a game of chicken at that point. You wanna get hit you're gonna remember it.

They got out of the way.

I think I would do that too. expecially If I noticed the accomplices (in orange?) walking on the opposite side of the road too. Were they accomplices or concerned citizens?

Only way it could have been better is if the driver had been able to yeet him into that tree-trunk. I doubt anybody would have walked away from that.

The guy with the gun stops the car and the two other guys take it - at least that's my impression.
