The two pictures were taken at significantly different angles. Look at the placing of the side window seen through the front window. In one it takes up one pane, in the other it takes up two panes. The elevation is also different.

I see what you mean, but that could be caused by using a different lens. For example, the photographer could be standing right beside the subject in the bottom one, but ten meters away in the top one.
