When the movie studio system collapsed in the late 60s, niggers had the chance to make their own movies. So what did they make? Movies filled with pimps, pushers, and criminals

I'm old enough to remember these movies come to the theaters and they seriously contrasted with the kind of movies that usually played. I never saw any of them because I wasn't old enough, and it's a good thing too, because they probably would have messed me up.

The movie that started the "blaxsploitation" craze was "Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song" by Melvin Van Peebles. From IMDB, this is the description:

Sweet Sweetback is a black orphan who, having grown up in a brothel, now works there as part of a sex show. When the police need a patsy for a murder in the black community, His employer gives him up to two white cops, whom he ends up killing. Suddenly the target of a massive manhunt, he decides to flee to Mexico. As he makes his way there, he is captured by, and escapes from, both the cops and a chapter of the Hell's Angels.

Charming. Van Peebles made some money by acting in the movie "Watermelon Man", and decided to fund and make a movie for his own people. This was the message that he though would resonate with black audience, and apparently he was correct, because it was enormously popular.

His son, Mario Van Peebles, who appeared in his father's movie as a child, made a documentary about it called "Baadasssss!". It's actually a decent documentary and worth watching, if only to learn how niggers think.

In no time, garbage movies like "Shaft" and "Super Fly" crowded the theaters at 42nd Street. Such movies gave White Americans the idea that all niggers lived in ghettos, which all looked like Harlem in NYC, and that the "only way out" was to become a pimp or a pusher. They always blamed "the [White] man" and taught niggers in the 1970s how to become professional victims.

There were White men who came from nothing, went to Hollywood, and in time made great movies worth watching. When niggers finally had the opportunity to make their own movies, they made garbage. And they wondered why they were barred from making movies under the Hollywood studio system for so long. That's why.

I kinda assumed most blacksploitation movies were made by jews.

Co-produced by Jerry Gross.

A totally normal guy that was born in New York and died in LA, nothing to see here.

You're probably correct that jews made them once the trend began. According to Mario Van Peebles, the first one was made entirely outside the studio system, using non-union workers, mostly people work for the early porn industry. Even though Van Peebles wanted his movie to be a mostly negro production, he had to go with what was available to him. Since porn was largely controlled by jews, they certainly had their foot in the door for this one. After that, they could smell the shekels they could make by giving negroes a pittance to make them movies and rake it in.

Of course, that are the only things they can think of.

I can guess who teaches film writing school. It does explain why so many movies are for/by/about jews.

I can never make it through any of these. I've seen the beginning or pieces of many but I can never sit through an entire blaxploitation movie. There are a couple which are half entertaining in a Bad Movie way, but still not enough to watch the entire thing.

Blackula and the sequels are probably the best.

“Don’t be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood” is fucking hilarious, at least the first hour is, but that’s because the niggers make fun of themselves.

Yeah, they're pretty horrible. I watched "Sweet Sweetback", but that was really cringy and put me off the rest of the genre.

What do black women make? Pimps, pushers, and criminals.

There's a new gen of this that's even more hilarious. A bunch of white dudes making "diverse" movies and just getting paid. I know the guys who started this film company. Total grifters. http://www.swirlfilms.com/

I don't think the studios collapsed. There's always been a cycle of nigger worship that usually ends with some conflagration. I know they loved niggers before WWI as well. Then in the sixties before the race riots.

You should check out some of the blaxploitation books. Some of it is garbage, grade school level of writing but Iceberg Slim wrote a few good ones. The Naked Soul of Iceberg Slim was actually a really good book. In it he covered how niggers were being used by jews. He was pretty clued in to a lot of shit. He was a former pimp though.

The studios were really in trouble by the end of the 60s. They couldn't control every aspect of the industry like they could in the 30s and 40s, and most Americans had a television in their home by the 1960s, which reduced movie attendance. The film "Cleopatra" nearly bankrupted one studio, and the others were just getting by because they were out of touch with the public's tastes and trends. The old studio owners were getting old, and replacing them were complete newcomers to the industry, who let the directors go off and do mostly what they wanted. That was how weird films like "Catch-22", "Carnal Knowledge", and "M.A.S.H" got made. They would never have been made in 1965.

Hey, that’s not fair. There was also Petey Wheatstraw, The Devil’s Son-in-Law.
