i am in Gemany. I have the opportunity to get a job at a rightwing newspaper that has connections to russia. Should i become a Journalist?

i am really taunted to quit my wageslavery and start creating big words for big change... but its definitly scary and difficult and dangerous...

you think its worth it?

The litmus test for the company should be if they will let you write about the core problem we are facing!

If they won't let you write about the narcissistic abuse and gaslighting being directed at us they are gatekeepers and you will be waisting your time.

Show them this and ask if you will be able to write about it and use these terms to call out the pathological tactics used by the mainstream.

so what i am taking out of my situation is this:

i need to get futher traing in my job, to make it easier to retun to my line of work.

i need to save up more money.

i need to improve my writing abilities, both german and english.

i maybe should wait out the situation with the russian/ukrainian war before i join a prorussian newspaper, i dont wanna end up in a Ghulag just for working for the wrong paper.

So.... thanks again, all of you, imma stick around living my boring life for a while longer =)

If you do this you will likely end up on a list, and possibly get outed publicly as an evil far-right-winger/russian spy. It will close a lot of avenues for you. Not saying you shouldn't, just keep that in mind. I know a German guy who still can't work in several industries because he attended an anti-nuclear protest in the 90s.

He never said. One possibility is that he was arrested, another is that there was a serious intel operation and they tracked a bunch of people to see if they were foreign agents.

This is the thing about lists like that though. They're often unofficial and not subject to due process. It can be difficult to find out you're on one let alone have your name removed.

If your newspaper is explicitly right or left wing, I think you wouldn't be a "journalist", you would be a "propagandist".

But since there is no such thing as unbiased media, you might as well go for it.

Personally, I would base this decision on what my current salary is. If you have a job that you could re-enter if the job at the newspaper doesn't work out, then you should go for it. As much as I would like to "follow my dreams", I also have to pay the bills.

Inevitably, it is your decision alone to make. Choose wisely, young Padawan.

Tell them all problems stem from the jews. See if they shit their pants or agree. You don't want to become part of the proble , but if you can write the truth you could do some good.

Try not to let fear be a part of your decision. Could you get a job similar to what you have now if things don't work out? What could you lose? If you're worried you don't have the knowledge for the job, just realize that almost everyone "fakes it till they make it." They will teach you what you don't know. Give it three months. Do it. See how the sausages get made. Don’t get your hopes up at being an agent of change or you will get your hopes dashed. But if you have reasonable expectations about who your new employers really are, that they are likely to be compromised as well, you should go for it. Especially if you are unmarried with no kids. If you did have a family that migh change my calculus.
